Preservation Pioneer

Everett Ortner, who with his wife, Evelyn, was an early leader in the movement to restore 19th-century brownstones in Brooklyn, the founder of the Brownstone Revival Coalition, and the driving force behind the Park Slope Historic District, died this past week, at the age of 92. His obituary appeared yesterday in the New York Times.
